This study explores the presence, dissemination, and influence of the Holy Qur\u2019an on the spiritual, educational, and literary life of Albanians throughout the centuries. Beginning with the early stages of Qur\u2019anic education in mektebs and madrasas, the paper focuses on the development of traditional Islamic knowledge institutions, including memorization (\u1e25if\u1e93), Qur\u2019anic exegesis (tafs\u012br), and the art of proper and melodious recitation (tajw\u012bd). Particular attention is paid to the role of Albanian scholars in writing and disseminating tafs\u012br in the Albanian language, as well as the challenges faced during the communist period and the revival that followed in the 1990s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second part of the study analyzes the influence of the Qur\u2019an on Albanian folk literature, with emphasis on didactic songs, religious motifs in epic narratives, lullabies, and everyday vocabulary, where one observes the natural intertwining of Islamic faith with folkloric and literary expressions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finally, the third chapter focuses on the connection between the Qur\u2019an and Albanian Alhamiado literature, examining the historical context of writings in the Arabic script, Qur\u2019anic translations from this period, and the lives and works of notable authors such as Hasan Zyko Kamberi, Nezim Frakulla, and Muhamed Ky\u00e7yku-\u00c7ami.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This study aims to demonstrate that the Qur\u2019an is not only a sacred text for believers but also a foundational source for the cultural, linguistic, and spiritual formation in Albanian history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
