“ARTI LETRAR ISLAM NË KULTURËN LETRARE SHQIPE”

Ky studim synon të trajtojë dimensionin estetik dhe kulturor të artit islam dhe ndikimin e tij në zhvillimin e letërsisë shqipe, me theks të veçantë në traditën alhamiado dhe formësimet e tjera të shprehjes letrare me frymëzim islam. Duke filluar me një analizë të konceptit të artit islam – si një ndërtim modern akademik, por me rrënjë të thella në botëkuptimin dhe praktikën islame – punimi ndjek historinë e shtrirjes së këtij arti ndër popujt myslimanë, për t’u ndalur te shqiptarët, si dhe flet për veçoritë e tij estetike, si refuzimi i të shëmtuarës dhe përqafimi i së bukurës si shprehje e besimit.

Në pjesën qendrore, studimi shqyrton zhvillimin e shkrimit shqip dhe të letërsisë shqiptare, duke analizuar kontekstin historik të lindjes së saj dhe reflektimet e hershme të ndikimeve fetare. Vëmendje e veçantë i kushtohet letërsisë alhamiado – një shtresë e veçantë e krijimtarisë letrare shqiptare në alfabet arab dhe me përmbajtje të thellë fetare e etike – si edhe përfaqësuesve kryesorë të saj.

Në kapitullin final, theksi vendoset mbi raportin mes artit letrar islam dhe letërsisë shqipe. Trajtohet roli i fesë si burim frymëzimi letrar dhe veçoritë që e dallojnë artin letrar islam, me shembullin konkret të ndikimit të Kuranit – veçanërisht sures Jusuf – në letërsinë shqipe. Përmes kësaj qasjeje, punimi ofron një pasqyrë të re mbi mënyrat se si arti islam është ndërthurur në mënyrë aktive me identitetin estetik dhe kulturor të shqiptarëve ndër shekuj.

Ky hulumtim nuk synon të japë përfundime të prera, por të hapë rrugë për studime të mëtejshme mbi ndërthurjen e religjionit dhe kulturës në letërsinë shqipe, duke kontribuuar në një fushë ende pak të eksploruar në studimet letrare dhe teologjike shqiptare.

ABSTRACT

“ISLAMIC LITERARY ART IN ALBANIAN LITERARY CULTURE”

This study aims to explore the aesthetic and cultural dimension of Islamic art and its influence on the development of Albanian literature, with a particular focus on the alhamiado tradition and other forms of literary expression inspired by Islam. Beginning with an analysis of the concept of Islamic art—as a modern academic construct with deep roots in Islamic worldview and practice—the thesis traces the historical expansion of this art among Muslim peoples, focusing eventually on Albanians. It discusses the aesthetic features of Islamic art, such as the rejection of ugliness and the embrace of beauty as an expression of faith. The central part of the study examines the development of Albanian writing and literature, analyzing the historical context of its emergence and the early reflections of religious influences. Special attention is given to alhamiado literature—a distinct layer of Albanian literary creativity written in Arabic script and characterized by profound religious and ethical content—as well as to its key representatives. In the final chapter, emphasis is placed on the relationship between Islamic literary art and Albanian literature. It considers the role of religion as a source of literary inspiration and outlines the features that distinguish Islamic literary art, illustrated by the concrete example of the Qur’an’s influenc —especially through Surah Yusuf—on Albanian literature. Through this approach, the study offers a new perspective on the ways in which Islamic art has been actively intertwined with the aesthetic and cultural identity of Albanians throughout the centuries.

This research does not seek to offer definitive conclusions but rather to pave the way for further studies on the interweaving of religion and culture in Albanian literature, contributing to a field still underexplored in Albanian literary and theological scholarship.
